On Thursday, October 17, the White Horse Theatre, an English-speaking theatre company, performed "Promised Land" at DFG/LFA.This is a play about refugees, arriving in a foreign country, violence of youth gangs, racism, being brave, about empathy and acceptance. The four native speakers performed in front of a big audience of all students from grade 8 and 9 and 3e and 4e. After their performance, the students had the chance to ask questions about the content of the play but also about the theatre company and the actors. Here is what students say about it:
"I think the play was good because it shows how bad people from other countries are treated and that prejudice about asylum seekers is wrong."
"I think that the play was really good and I think it showed the situation refugees are in very well."
"The actors played very well."
"It was cool but I didn't like the topic."
"The play was fine but too violent."
